Cape Town Deliveries: We deliver within Cape Town and will contact you with your delivery date. Local orders enjoy a shorter lead time.
National Shipping: We partner with trusted third-party transporters to safely deliver your order anywhere in South Africa. Deliveries are made on weekdays during business hours, excluding public holidays. Typical delivery times are 7–14 days for furniture, with extra time for remote areas to ensure safe arrival. We aim to make your experience smooth and convenient!
Each of our products is made-to-order with lots of love and attention, and we do not hold stock on hand. This means that once your order has been confirmed, we begin production immediately, making cancellations impossible. Please double-check all order details before finalizing your purchase.
We offer a six-month warranty covering manufacturing defects only. We take pride in the quality of our craftsmanship and materials. Manufacturing defects usually appear within the first six months. After this period, any issues are generally considered normal wear and tear or due to product use.
We’re committed to providing you with quality products! If you spot any manufacturing defects within 6 months of your purchase, please get in touch with us immediately. We’ll carefully review the issue and, based on our assessment, decide whether we’ll repair, exchange, or refund the item. Refunds will only be given if we’re unable to repair or replace the product. Please note that it’s at Salt&Timber’s discretion to determine whether a product will be repaired or replaced. We’re here to help and ensure you’re satisfied!
Most of our furniture arrives fully assembled, with a few exceptions. For beds, the base is fully assembled, but the headboard is provided separately, and can be easily attached using the supplied bolts and Allen key. Our standard range furniture arrives fully assembled and cannot be dismantled due to our expert joinery techniques.
Absolutely! Once your product has been crafted, you will receive an email with delivery instructions. Please be patient while we carefully create your piece. Orders are not rushed, and our manufacturing lead time is up to 3 weeks. If you haven’t heard from us to schedule your delivery 3 weeks after placing your order, please email us at info@saltandtimber.co.za.
Once your order has been dispatched, you’ll receive an email from our distribution office with delivery details or a tracking number. For Cape Town deliveries, feel free to email us to follow up.
For national shipping outside of Cape Town, we use trusted third-party couriers. You can use your tracking number to follow up or make arrangements directly with the courier.
No, unfortunately orders can’t be rushed. Each piece is carefully handcrafted by our skilled artisans, who hand-select the wood and materials specific to your order. We also allow proper time for glues and varnishes to dry, ensuring the strength, durability, and perfection of your piece. Quality craftsmanship takes time, and this process cannot be shortened.
